A focus group is a small ammount of people whcih diecuss a certain topic that applies to them (3-10 people) they usually talk about opinions and answer questions about a topic or a product.

I stared by looking on google images and Pinterest for ideas on what to draw on our sheet of paper

When i decided what i wanted i used the Fontpair.co to get a good idea on what i wanted on the front of my card then i combined a few designs together to make my designs.

I started by thinking of what to put on the front of my card, then i experienced by using different sized stamps and stamped them three times to see what looked best. 

Christmas Cards - Preliminary Photoshop Designs

In todays lecture we created preliminary designs for our christmas cards using photoshop.

We started by applying a gradient to the background, we did this by choosing the colour then using the gradient tool to create the effect, then placed a half colour gradient effect.
Afterwards we looked at filters, we chose the filter, noise and applied that to the page then turned it to around 30% - 40% to create the card effect instead of a solid boring colour.

 Once i done this i used the polygonal lasso tool to draw the triangle then coloured this triangle yellow, after that i changed the opacity of the triangle down to 50% so the ends of the triangle were faded out into the red background.










after that i installed a snowflake brush to use around and in the yellow triangle, we changed the size jitter so there was a variety of different sized snow flakes, we coloured them a lighter yellow and scattered them in and the outline of the triangle to make this.      \/   \/   \/   \/   \/   \/   \/   \/   \/   \/   \/   \/   \/   \/   \/   \/   \/   \/   \/   \/

i did the same to the white star and the plant pot and then i inserted text saying merry christmas then i put a white outline around the text. and then i was finished. this is the final product.








                                                 

Market Research

Pinterest 

In todays lecture we were able to sign up to Pinterest, which allows us to look at other peoples ideas, crafts and other things. This is good because i searched a term christmas and found the picturea that i liked. (left picture) I liked the christmas card as it has been rafted and i like this because i like the idea of hand made and crafted products as they wil apply to my christmas card design. Pinterest has shown me various colours but i picked this colour shceme (photo on the right) as i think it really suits the christmas and i can use the colour theme and others to make my chistmas card my own and to suit my sytle of craft.
