180 degree rule!


180 degree rule

The 180 degree rule is used when two people are in a scene and the camera is not allowed to cross the line, for example if the camera is in front of the two people the camera cannot go behind the two people. The reason why this is used is becuse when you break the 180 degree rule and going behind he poeple, the people switch seats and when it comes to filming it can confuse the reader.

An exaple of this is the photos below.
as you can see the old man is on the right, but when the camera goes behind them the old man is on the left which is confusing to te eye.
